Tuck into these crisp haloumi fritters packed with spinach, fresh dill and mint. I enjoy them as a virtuous breakfast, though they're equally good as a quick and easy weeknight dinner. Ground almonds take the place of flour in this recipe, and add a somewhat pleasing texture. Scented with vanilla, this banana breads is fragrant and nutty with a soft, moist crumb. The almond batter is sweetened with rapadura sugar, and has a deep caramel flavour. Slice thickly, and  lather in pure butter. An indulgent breakfast or mid morning treat. I've made this recipe at least once a week for the last three years, and I still find it crazy-delicious.   The loveliness of tamarillo eludes some people, although when sweetened with honey and poached in a light syrup of red wine, orange and star anise, the result is meltingly tender, and perfectly tangy.
