SPARKLING WHITE WINE WITH REDCURRANTS, CRANBERRY AND POMEGRANATE

Beautifully refreshing, this sparkling white wine spritzer is quite the perfect thirst-quencher for a warm, autumn evening. The clean, bright fruitiness comes from a splash of redcurrant, cranberry and pomegranate cordial, whilst a small squeeze of lemon juice adds the finishing flourish to this lovely drink.

To make, pour a nip of Barker's Squeezed Redcurrants with Cranberry & Pomegranate in to each glass, add a few cubes of ice, fill half way with white wine (I enjoy a nice pinot gris) top with sparkling water, and add a small squeeze of lemon juice to finish.

I rather enjoy Barker’s new range of reduced sugar cordials as they contain all natural ingredients, and are beautifully crafted with squeezed fruit and botanicals. I tend to stay away from cordials as they are typically packed with sugar, but for these, I make an exception. Their sweetness is much subtler than other varieties, I also find them to be harmoniously balanced, bright and refreshing. There’s quite a few intriguingly delicious combinations, such as blackcurrant, blueberry and elderflower, or blood orange with lime and bitters to name a few.
