BLOOD ORANGE, TURMERIC AND GINGER THICKSHAKE

Eleanor Ozich BREAKFAST SWEET DELIGHTS VEGAN

With a hint of turmeric, this golden banana and blood orange thickshake makes a rather lovely treat. I like a little warmth here, a flick of cinnamon and ginger works particularly well. 

 
2 frozen bananas
juice of one blood orange, or orange
a pinch of turmeric
a pinch of cinnamon
a small thumb of ginger
a handful of ice cubes
coconut milk to blend
 
Blend all ingredients, adding coconut milk as needed until you have a thick, luscious consistency.
 
Serves 1 generously.
