From the ingredients used to the pretty glass jars they are stored in, I believe home-made formulations can bring a beautiful sense of joy and satisfaction, each, and every time you use them. Here's a recipe I thought you might enjoy -  all-natural laundry powder that is simple to make, and smells incredible from the addition of essential oils.

Citrus works well, such as lemon, lime or grapefruit. Lavender and eucalyptus is always nice, too. You'll have fun experimenting with different variations! and if you create one thats incredible, I'd love to hear about it.

a bar of unscented natural soap, grated (such as castille or goat’s milk)
3⁄4 cup borax
1⁄2 cup baking soda
20 drops of essential oil of your choice

Put all the ingredients into the bowl of a food processor and process until a fine powder. Transfer in to an airtight container, and store somewhere dry and cool.

To use, place 2-3 tablespoons per load of washing. I always wash using cold water, but if you find that your washing powder does not dissolve properly in cold, you can dissolve it in hot water before adding it to the washing machine, or do a warm-water wash.

I'm head over heels in love with doTERRA essential oils. Follow this link If you’d like to find out more, and why they're the safest and most healthy option for me and my family. You can also purchase these gorgeous oils at a discounted rate, by creating a wholesale account through me here.  x
